Conventional, Organic or GMO?

But what I didn’t realize is that we can also use this sticker to know if the item is Genetically Modified. Instead of a 9, GMO foods are prefaced with an “8″. Here is an example of what to look for;
For example, a conventionally grown banana would be: 4011
an organic banana would be: 94011
a genetically engineered (GE or GMO) banana would be: 84011
