June 3rd, 2007 Posted in This n ThatThe other morning I watched something very curious at our ever growing bird feeding post. One of the many cardinal couples stopped by. The mama looked a bit unkempt and honestly like she hadn’t had her java that morning.Â
Daddy Cardinal was flying to one of the feeders, eating for himself and then grabbing some seed for his mate, flying to her (she was resting somewhere else on the feeder…there are many arms and places for birds to rest) AND then putting the seed in her mouth. ????? I’ve never seen this before.Â
This went on for a good 1/2 hour while I dreamily thought of my wonderful husband. :)Â
