January 10th, 2007 Posted in EcoWarrior, Non Toxic Living, This n ThatIn what I would call a remarkable decision, the EPA has REJECTED, yes rejected the use of a KNOWN carcinogen in the treatment of wood for home use. That is decks, playground equipment, picnic tables, etc. I don’t know if I’ll ever cease to be amazed at this sort of thing but I am stupified that the industry actually hired lobbying firms to try to push the EPA to pass this KNOWN CARCINOGEN for residential use. Just stupified. Anyhow, the EPA finally did something right. Here’s the story; Â
